(90 Points: Wine advocate) The estate’s 2004 Chianti Classico Riserva Petresco (100% Sangiovese) is a gorgeous, refined effort. Crushed flowers, raspberries, licorice and smoke emerge from its silky-textured, layered frame. This generous, medium to full-bodied Sangiovese should drink well for the next decade or so. The 2004 Petresco was fermented in steel, with malolactic fermentation in cement, followed by 18 months in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019.
