Made from head-trained vines averaging about 40 years old, 80% Nerello Mascalese and the rest Nerello Cappuccio. Broad, dry earth notes with a spicy, peppery tinge and lots of dried fruit: orange peel, Bing cherry and wild strawberry. Leathery and dense, with lots of tannic grip but evident purity. The structure and perfect balance give it great potential.
