(93 Points: International Wine Cellar) 100% Verdejo, from vines that are reportedly over 180 years old. Pale chartreuse color. A drop-dead bouquet of lemongrass, pear, smoky minerals and white flowers expands with air, picking up herbs and baking spices. Broad and sappy, with fresh citrus and floral flavors that gain flesh with air, turning to orange, melon and floral honey. Extremely complex wine, with a nervy mineral streak that carries all the way through the finish. This is carrying 15% alcohol but I would have never guessed it. Pretty remarkable stuff.
